Improving Late-Stage Ovarian Cancer Outcomes with Tamiflu in India

Research Description: Ovarian cancer is the third most common cancer in Indian females, with two-thirds of patients diagnosed with advanced stages. Of these, most become resistant to standard of care platinum-based chemotherapy. Access to newer therapies is limited in LMICs due to cost; affordable and accessible solutions are needed. Researchers in India have found that oseltamivir (Tamiflu), approved for influenza, shows promise in improving outcomes for relapsed/refractory ovarian cancer. This Phase II single-arm study is testing whether adding oseltamivir to chemotherapy improves  outcomes in these patients.
