Donor-Advised Impact Philanthropy
Cures Within Reach works with each prospective, new and renewing funding partner to develop a customized program to match their own goals. Our funding partners represent individual donors, family offices, family foundations, private foundations, corporate foundations / social responsibility departments as well as others – all interested in finding and funding clinical research to help scientists and clinicians find new uses for existing drugs, medical devices and other treatments. Our funding helps to provide the initial proof-of-concept or pilot data needed to bring these treatments to patients with unmet or unsolved medical needs.

Impact philanthropy with faster patient impact, customized to a funder’s goals
- Donors have flexibility and control over involvement during the search, selection and approval processes
- CWR provides access to our entire 50+ research partner network; a due diligence process using external grant reviewers representing research, industry, clinicians and the patient voice to support project selection; expertise in finding, selecting, de-risking and managing repurposing-specific clinical research projects; and both project and financial progress reports during and after the project
- CWR funding of clinical repurposing projects often catalyzes follow‐on funding from NIH, foundations and investors
Donor-advised funding can support a specific disease, patient population or geographic region
- Research grants starting at US$50,000 can support a small, proof‐of‐concept human clinical trial or speed patient impact for a larger clinical trial
