Initiating Outreach for Engaging Community-Based Organizations in Clinical Trials
Our virtual Fall 2026 convening event!
Initiating Outreach for Engaging Community-Based Organizations in Clinical Trials
virtual event, October 27, 2026, 5:00pm – 6:15pm ET / 2:00pm – 3:15pm PT
While the value of engaging community health, social services and faith-based organizations to support clinical trials is tangible, many clinical research teams don’t know where and how to begin. This event will discuss best practices when building relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs), trusted by patients who often do not know of or participate in clinical trials. Speakers will represent community-based organizations, clinical researchers and pharma industry. Topics will include:
- Ways to initiate outreach beyond cold calling
- How to find and approach CBOs about a future or ongoing clinical trial or for post-trial dissemination
- Messaging the benefits and opportunities for CBOs as collaborators – what’s in it for them
- How to find, connect and succeed with CBOs when they aren’t part of your institution’s system
- Q&A Session
