2021 Golf Fundraiser

2021 Golf Fundraiser

Wednesday, June 2, 2021

Rich Harvest Farms, Sugar Grove, IL

Golf 2020 Soriano group on courseFor over 10 years, golfers have been raising funds for medical repurposing research at Cures Within Reach’s annual golf event. In 2021, we will again play at Rich Harvest Farms, an exclusive private course rarely accessible by non-members and named the 5th best new private course in the US by Golf Digest when it debuted in 1999.

While the vaccine rollout for COVID19 continues, a day on the golf course is a great way to begin June – allowing us to enjoy the outdoors!

The COVID19 pandemic has shined a spotlight on the opportunity that drug repurposing provides: the fastest way to therapeutic impact is testing already approved therapies for new indications in randomized controlled trials.  We support quickly testing drugs, devices and more that are already safe and effective for one disease to treat another disease.

In 2021, a portion of the proceeds from this event will help to fund Pediatric Rare Diseases.  We will be selecting the winning project(s) at our CureAccelerator Live! for Rare Diseases philanthropic pitch event on June 10-11, 2021.
